Mansfield Town, 11th August 2007

Welcome back to Griffin Park for a brand new season. There have been a few comings and goings both on and off the pitch since the last game of the season and I’m sure you’ll join me in welcoming all those new faces at the Club.

The stadium has also completed its transformation, which sees the new home end open for its first competitive game today. I for one will be there to enjoy the atmosphere and hopefully three points!

In my role as Supporter Director it is essential I represent your views on the Club Board and also deal with any questions you may have concerning the Club. For that reason every month during the season I hold a surgery prior to home games at the Princess Royal pub so that I can meet you.

Since I have been running my monthly matchday surgeries I have met on average seven supporters at each surgery. In a bid to meet more of you I have decided for the forthcoming season to hold every other surgery in the Princess Royal. For the remainder I will be holding them in different parts of the ground.

My first surgery of the season will be prior to the next home League game with Barnet in the Princess Royal. The full list of dates and locations of my surgeries are as follows:

Date Match Location
2007
25 August Barnet Princess Royal
29 September     Stockport County Braemar Road Forecourt
27 October Lincoln City Princess Royal
17 November Darlington Ealing Road Stand
29 December Chester City Princess Royal
2008
26 January Bury New Road Stand
16 February Accrington Stanley     Princess Royal
29 March Rochdale Braemar Road Forecourt
26 April Hereford United Princess Royal

The surgeries will be held between 1.15 – 2.15 pm and I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible to discuss anything that is on your mind concerning the Club.

Let’s all get behind the lads today, giving them a special welcome from the new end, and do our bit to help the team to our first win of the new season.

Let’s work together!

Jon Gosling
