What happened at the Surgery?
On Saturday, 17 January I held my sixth surgery of the season for supporters in the Bill Axbey Stand, New Road I met with 7 supporters. I would like to thank all those who came to meet me. The main questions that they raised were:
- What is the average payment price received by the Club by pay-on-the-day spectators? The Club are currently forecasting to receive an average of £13.04 per pay-on-the-day spectator.
- Do the Club still financially benefit from supporters drinking in the Princess Royal? Yes, it helps in two ways: Firstly the Club benefits financially from the existing arrangement. Secondly it saves management time which can be used more effectively in managing other areas of the Club.
- Will we have a new shirt sponsor next season? Negotiations are taking place and it is expected that an announcement will be made on the outcome sometime in February.
- When will there be an update on what is happening with the new stadium development work? The next quarterly update will be issued in February, probably in the Port Vale programme.
My next, and last surgery as Supporter Director, will be in the Princess Royal before the home game with Chester City on 7 February between 1.15 - 2.15 pm.
